Born 1928, Queens, NY, raised Montclair, NJ, attended public schools. Graduated Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA 1952, degree in Geology. Hobbies: photography, archaeology, astronomy. Became interested in astronomy at about age 10 - vacationing in Adirondack Mountains of N.Y. State. Has taught astronomy at adult level in several towns in Conn. and grade school level in Greenwich, CT for 4 years.

Divorced, 3 married children, 4 grandchildren.

Current employment: Honorary position: (40 years) Curator, Stamford Observatory, Stamford Museum. Active work: Research in the field of Variable Stars, drafting star charts for their study, photographing star fields, observing stars. Author of two atlases of star charts; one hand-drafted, (The AAVSO Variable Star Atlas); one photographic, (True Visual Magnitude Photographic Star Atlas, vol 3, with Christos Papadopoulos).

Won Stellafane Blue Ribbon for special folded refractor, 1966. Awarded Astronomical League Commendation (NE Region) 1974. Won AAVSO Merit Award, 1981 Received AAVSO Director's Award, 1999.
